Setting up your professional account on Moonlight

We're thrilled that you're part of Moonlight! We care about creating beautiful software, and we want every detail to sparkle, from calendaring to payments to the virtual tarot sessions themselves. We're here to help make your professional tarot practice easy and enjoyable for both you and your clients.

This guide will walk you through our simple onboarding process, so that you are ready to offer your services on our platform and easily manage your sessions.

You can find the complete onboarding checklist on your homepage, which includes:

1. Read and agree to our guidelines
2. Design your new profile page
3. Connect your calendar
4. Choose your services & availability
5. Link a Stripe account for payouts

Once you complete these steps, you'll be able to list your available services for clients to book. Here's details on each step:

1. Read and Agree to Our Guidelines

• Visit your homepage to and open "Read and agree to our guidelines".
• Please read them carefully and agree to Moonlight's Community Guidelines. These terms ensure a safe and respectful space for everyone on our platform. We are committed to maintaining the integrity and quality of our community, extending to the field of tarot as a whole.

2. Design Your New Profile Page

• Select "Design your new profile page" or open the Profile tab on the left-hand navigation.
• This will open up your profile where you can edit and customize your public profile page however you'd like! This is a way to showcase your approach to tarot and help our community get to know you. You can edit your profile any time you'd like.

3. Connect Your Calendar

• Select "Connect your calendar".
• You'll be redirected to the Google Calendar permissions screen to authorize Moonlight.
• Grant the required permissions and press "Allow" so that Moonlight can send calendar invitations on your behalf and check for scheduling conflicts.
• Your calendar information is secure and confidential and never displayed publicly. (Read more about how Google Calendar shares data safely.

• If you disconnect your calendar you won't be bookable until you reconnect it. (This won’t effect existing confirmed sessions.)

  

4. Choose Your Services & Availability

• Select "Choose your services & availability" or open the Availability tab on the left-hand navigation.
• Once your calendar is connected, you can adjust:
  • Services
    • You can choose from tarot sessions or private classes.
  • Pricing
    • All prices are currently listed in USD, however, Moonlight's payment system seamlessly facilitates international transactions. Our reliable payment processor will efficiently handle the currency conversion process.
  • Days & times
    • These are recurring windows that you would like to be available for booking. For any available window you list, people can book up to 30 days from now or as soon as the next half hour!
    • Moonlight automatically checks your Google Calendar for conflicts, ensuring that your availability is accurately reflected.
    • We automatically detect your time zone when you are setting your availability, but you can always change your time zone.
• After editing, press "Save". These are the services, prices, and calendar openings that people will see on your profile page, so they can request sessions with you. You can edit this section whenever you'd like!
• Remember, if you turn off all your availability or services, you won’t be bookable until you turn them on again. (This won’t effect existing confirmed sessions.)

5. Link a Stripe Account for Payouts

• Select "Link a Stripe account for payouts", select the country you're in, and continue with Stripe's onboarding.
  • (If you already have a Stripe account, that's fine! Your account can be connected to multiple platforms. You'll still be onboarding with Moonlight.)
• You can choose whether you’re providing services as a freelance sole proprietor or an LLC.
• Payouts are on the way after you confirm booking requests and may take a few days to appear in your bank. See more info on payouts.

Now you're ready to share your profile page.

Once you complete these steps, the "Book me ✨" button will be activated on your profile, listing you as available for services!

Anytime someone requests a session with you, you'll get an email from Moonlight. (Make sure to check your updates folder and drag it to your primary inbox so you don't miss requests!)

You’ll also be featured on our booking page, so you’ll be discoverable to our community and find new clients.
