What if my client doesn't show up for a session?

If you're in a situation where a client doesn't show up for their scheduled tarot session on Moonlight, here are some steps you can take:


1. Reaching out to the client. ๐Ÿ’Œ

First, try to contact the client via email. You can find their email in the confirmation email sent from Moonlight or on the session details page. This page is accessible from the upcoming tab, located on the left-hand navigation of your Moonlight dashboard. Send them an email to check if they are running late, having technical difficulties, or if they wish to reschedule.


Offering the benefit of the doubt can go a long way in maintaining a positive relationship!


2. Rescheduling a missed session.

If your client responds and wants to reschedule, you can coordinate a new time directly via email. Since the payment has already been processed and you have the room link, there's no need to have them rebook through the platform.


3. Handling no-shows without a reply.

In cases where the client doesnโ€™t get in touch and fails to show up, the payment for the session remains processed as you have made yourself available for the scheduled time. If the client requests a refund, they should contact us at bookings@moonlight.world. We handle refunds on a case-by-case basis, considering the circumstances of each situation.


4. Handling last-minute cancellations.

If a client cancels just before the meeting, you have the option to 'Cancel & Refund' the session. This can be done from the session details screen on the Upcoming tab. While rescheduling via email is encouraged, you are not obligated to issue a refund if the cancellation causes significant inconvenience. Assess each situation individually to decide the best course of action! Flexibility and refunds can leave a positive impression for a client relationship, but it's equally important to ensure your professional boundaries are respected.
