Turning on permissions

When you first enter a tarot room, you will be prompted to accept permissions for your camera and microphone. If you're planning on doing sessions with others, this is the way participants in the room can see and hear you for a fully interactive experience.

Muting and turning off your camera: Once permissions are granted, you can easily mute your microphone or turn off your camera at any time by pressing the respective icons located on the left-hand side of the tarot room. If you're a client who prefers their camera off, that's totally okay!

My mic is on but they can't hear me

It's possible if you have a connected headset that Moonlight doesn't automatically recognize. Here's three things you can try:

  1. Select the right microphone on Moonlight. Press the arrow next to the microphone symbol to see the list of audio inputs, and choose your connected headset.

  1. Refresh the browser window. Sometimes a simple refresh helps the browser recognize your audio input.
  2. Change your computer settings to a different audio input.
    1. For MacOS:

      • Click on the Apple menu and select 'System Preferences'.
      • Open 'Sound' and then click on the 'Input' tab.
      • Select the microphone or headset you want to use from the list of available devices.
    2. For Windows:

      • Right-click on the sound icon in the system tray and select 'Sounds'.
      • Go to the 'Recording' tab.
      • Right-click on the microphone or headset you want to use, and make sure it's set as the 'Default Device'.
      • If it's not listed, right-click in the empty space and select 'Show Disabled Devices' to make sure it's enabled and set as default.

If you've tried all the above steps and still experience issues, it's possible that your headset might be faulty. As an alternative, try using your computer's internal microphone and speakers instead. This can help determine if the problem lies with your external headset or another aspect of your audio setup.
